Crows Nest district has dozens of quiet country roads and forestry tracks to enjoy on two wheels, on horsback or on foot.
Each trail has a number of sites. with a brief description of the habitat, how to get there, GPS readings and a few of the birds you might find there.

You have a choice of ways to explore the region: on foot or by car; on public roads or on tracks in National Parks, around the lakes or in bushland reserves.

Soft 4x4 Trails
Seven 4WD trails to choose from. The trails are on public roads, mostly gravel or formed earth. Some are in poor condition. A 4WD is recommended.
Cabins, camping, powered & ensuite sites, pets, restaurants, camp kitchens, group friendly. Secure and relaxing places to stay.
Soft Boating & Fishing
The three lakes: Cooby, Cressbrook and Perseverance all have Camping, Fishing and boating, with individual guidelines.
